James Conrad Garside (Jim) died December 8, 2010, in Spanish Fork, Utah, from, as yet, unknown causes.

He was born 30 August 1971, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the son of Richard J. Garside and Barbara E. Nelson, He was the sixth of six children.

Jim was raised in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, and lived for most of his married life in Spanish Fork.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Utah Provo Mission. Among other callings, he loved serving the children and youth, and seemed to have a positive impact.

Jim married Leslie Sorensen in the Salt Lake Temple in 1997. They are the parents of three children: Gunner, 12; Avery, 8; and Linkon, 6.

He was a stone mason by trade and was pleased to work on the Salt Lake Conference Center and the Nauvoo Temple. He also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, and as a water broker. He loved and participated in sports - his favorites being basketball, football, and hockey. He coached football, basketball, and baseball in the community and loved this association with young people.

In addition to his wife and children, Jim is survived by his parents; brothers, Gordon (Tami), Richard (Jean-Ann), David (Nicolette); and his sisters, Teuila Kenyon (Steve), and Tricia Farraway (David); and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 14 December 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Maple Meadows First Ward Chapel, 1911 East 1850 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Friends may visit the family at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, from 6-8 p.m., Monday, 13 December 2010, and from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church before the service.

Interment in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
